1- What is Children Action?
Children Action is a Swiss foundation established in February 1994 to help children in difficulty in Switzerland and abroad. |

2- How are donations used?
Every Franc collected equals one Franc invested in a project which has a direct impact on the ground. All running costs are covered by the founder of Children Action. All the money in the world is useless, unless used efficiently to produce maximum impact. The budget and feasibility of every project is studied carefully

3- How are donations allocated to a project?
A budget is established for each project. The funds raised are distributed according to the needs of each project.

4- How are the projects selected?
The projects are selected according to criteria which include ethics, feasibility, quality and efficiency. Every applicationis examined and endorsed by the Board.
The length of time over which aid will be given is also important to enable follow-up. Children Action generally invests in programmes which run for a minimum of three years.

5- Are donations made to the Foundationtax-deductible?
Children Action benefits from the usual tax exemptions pertaining to its charitable status, and from the provisions laid out in article 21u of the Swiss legislation relating to public donations.
Contributions from US-based foundations are also tax deductible.

6- Does Children Action use any of the funds it raises tobecome better known?
No. Any media coverage of Children Action comes about through the different projects, programmes and events organised by the Foundation. Some magazines and television stations donate free advertising space to help raise public awareness.
Donations are therefore not invested in communication's activities.

7 - Is it possible to become personnally involved in a project managed by Children Action?
Yes. Children Action requires specialist skills to operate effectively. Those who contribute are generally experienced professionals in their fields. Aid for children cannot be improvised, it requires specific knowledge and solid experience in fields such as psychology, paediatrics and surgery.
Other types of aid offered may take the form of professional services, or company involvement.

8- Is it possible to access financial reports on funds raised?
A certificate issued by our auditors, Ernst & Young, attests that 100% of running costs are covered by the founder and that the Foundation's accounts are available to donors.

9- How can I become a member of the Heroes' Club?
If you are a medical doctor, a psychologist, a psychiatrist, a surgeon specialising in burns or orthopaedic surgery, and are prepared to give up your time as a volunteer to go on one of our missions.
If you are an artist prepared to put your fame, talent and image to use in helping us raise funds and public awareness.
If you are a benefactor, prepared to donate CHF 100,000 per year for three years. Funds committed in this way enable us to plan long-term projetcs.
