Every franc raised is invested entirely in a field project, with all administrative costs covered by the founder of Children Action. Programs are subject to a detailed budget and feasibility study. The allocation and use of donations are subject to rigorous oversight.
Funds raised are distributed according to the needs of each project. Donors also have the option to allocate their contributions to the project of their choice. The funds thus allocated will be used entirely and exclusively to finance the defined project.
Run like a business, Children Action conducts targeted projects that meet stringent management, skills, and purpose requirements. The Foundation carries out medium-sized projects, prioritizing quality over quantity. Particular attention is paid to feasibility and ethics, team selection, cost control, and results evaluation. Children Action's choices and directions are decided by the Foundation Board and supported by an Ethics Committee, both composed of leading figures from the scientific, medical, and business worlds.
Children Action is not a "donor" foundation: Children Action implements its own projects or invests in programs carried out in partnership with other organizations. The Foundation does not provide financial support without direct involvement in the projects and without its expertise providing added value.
Priority is given to projects in areas in which the foundation is already active and in countries where it is present.
Children Action does not consider requests for support outside its area of expertise or for fundraising or sponsorship initiatives.Children Action benefits from the usual tax exemptions and the provisions of Article 21u of the Swiss Public Contributions Act. In addition, Children Action is tax deductible for foundations in the USA. The Foundation is a partner of the TGE Transnational Giving Europe network http://www.transnationalgiving.eu/
